Splitz Support Service is a charity whose expertise in providing support to children, families and adults has been recognised locally for almost 30 years as a quality service. We want to strengthen our Board of Trustees by recruiting new trustees who can bring business and other skills and have an interest in supporting our work in the voluntary sector and in enabling people to reach and sustain independence.
We work with vulnerable disadvantaged families helping with a wide range of issues. We have strong links with other organisations in the community.
You may have experience in business skills, or knowledge of the voluntary and community sector or social enterprise. Or you may bring business skills and experience in financial management, strategic planning, marketing or HR. In particular we are looking for trustees who will commit to the organisation and contribute in a positive way at the board meetings.
Being a Trustee gives you the opportunity to help steer the charity through an exciting new phase of its development as we continue to grow and expand.
Trustees meet on the last Wednesday morning of most months at our Trowbridge office from 9.30am to 11.30am. There are a variety of other sub-groups and responsibilities each month that you may also like to get involved with.
The role is voluntary but expenses may be payable. You would also receive any ongoing training and support to help you carry out this role.
More useful information about the responsibility of a trustee is available on the Charity Commission website.
If you are interested in this opportunity, please contact Fran Lewis to arrange an informal discussion.
