The legal niceties trip off the tongue so easily, 'without knowledge of the individual circumstances of the case we cannot make a comment'. But heavens above - and let the photographs speak for themselves - can it be right that a victim of domestic abuse is further victimised by a legal decision based on a totally baffling view of life

Splitz is celebrating the ruling that the 'evidence' rules in legal aid cases around domestic violence/abuse have been ruled unlawful

Fawcett Society – Sex Equality – State of the Nation 2016 report. A brilliant well evidenced report as one would expect from the Fawcett Society.

Splitz is grateful for the skills of our IDVA's (Independent Domestic Abuse Advisors) who work with 'high risk' victims of domestic abuse. We are privileged to work with the brilliant teams in Devon and Gloucestershire and (since October 2015) with a superb team in Wiltshire. Safelives, who provide the accredited training for IDVA's, describe them as 'Lifelines' - enabling people to survive when they are all alone .

We join with Claire Throssell in her unspeakably tragic situation - twice a victim! First as a survivor of domestic abuse and then, cradling her one son as he lay dying from the fire deliberately caused by her husband, whilst her other son already lay dead in the morgue.
