In a time of cutbacks and limited funding opportunities, we're delighted that three more town councils have given us grants: Devizes, Marlborough and Melksham.
Splitz achieved IIP Silver at our annual review in November. Well done to everyone who contributed directly or indirectly to this achievement.
We're excited that the Community Foundation for Wiltshire and Swindon has awarded us £2,452 toward volunteers' travel costs on the Buddy Scheme.
To keep up with demand and help us meet the needs of the community we will be running a 3rd perpetrator group from November 2011. The additional group will run in Trowbridge on a Wednesday evening.
We're thrilled to have received grants from the Town Councils of both Bradford-on-Avon and Calne.
We were delighted that Salisbury Waitrose chose to make us one of their three charities of the month in September. We are even more delighted to have just received a cheque for £203.
We have improved our website to bring you more useful information on a range of issues. We will be adding new content every month and hope to publish new articles regularly. If you have suggestions on what we could publish or other comments on the new website, please let us know.
A programme to help men stop hurting their partners celebrates its first year this month. The Stopping Violence programme, the first of its kind in Bristol where men volunteer to take part, has had now over fifty men contacting the service. The first men have now completed the course.
On Sunday 11th September, staff from Halcrow in Swindon helped the Swindon Domestic Violence Outreach Service raise a magnificent £355!
Members of the Outreach team and service users were joined by Halcrow staff in helping pack bags at the Co-op tills in Old Town. The generosity of the members of the public was outstanding and the money raised will go a long way toward our target to cover all the Christmas activities in Swindon
We are delighted to announce that a benefactor who does not seek publicity has awarded Splitz a grant of £30,000 over 3 years. This grant will be used to support our Turnaround Programme.
