Splitz Support Service is a charity whose expertise in providing support to children, families and adults has been recognised locally for almost 30 years as a quality service. We want to strengthen our Board of Trustees by recruiting new trustees who can bring business and other skills and have an interest in supporting our work in the voluntary sector and in enabling people to reach and sustain independence.
Yesterday, the 18th June 2018, the Devon team, along with our LEESAR Partners and guest speakers put on a series of presentations to an audience of 70 individuals from stakeholder organisations.
At the Board meeting on 25 October 2017 the trustees appointed Ann Cornelius as the new Chair of Splitz Support Service.
Trustees Stand Down
The charity AGM was held at Trowbridge Rugby Club on 18 October 2017. This was the final event for two of our long serving trustees who chose to retire that day.
Splitz Devon feel honoured to have recently worked with Project Pyramid. Project Pyramid has been created by a group of inspiring young people aged 15 – 17 years as part of their National Citizen Service (NCS) programme.
The aim of Project Pyramid is to raise awareness of domestic abuse amongst young people aged 11 – 16 years and to raise money for a charity. We are delighted that Project Pyramid chose Splitz' Devon service.
Splitz' Devon service was invited to attend an awareness raising event at the mosque in Exeter on the 8th March for International Women's Day and Fair Trade Fortnight. The Independent Domestic Violence Advocates (IDVA) attending met many people at their stand, which formed part of the exhibition.
