A Young People's Page, devised and developed by young people and for young people.
Splitz's Young People support teams have been working hard with those whom we have supported and their wider communities, to design and develop a new approach in effective communications. Through extensive consultation and the direct input of young people themselves, we have worked with funding partners The Hollie Gazzard Trust and The Blagrave Trust, to produce a means whereby young people can access and contribute to the exchanges and be assured of high quality, authoritative responses to the very issues and questions that they and their peers are raising.

The Young People’s Support Service is a service specifically designed for young people aged between 11 and 16. The service has a Co-ordinator and 5 experienced youth workers who support young people on both a 1:1 basis and through group work.
1:1 support is provided through SplitzKidz in the South of the County and then Kidzpace in the North and West of the County. Any young person aged between 11 and 16 who has witnessed Domestic Abuse can access the support. The service will only work with the young person if the main carer has agreed to the referral and if the perpetrator no longer resides at the home. A programme of support is devised in agreement with the young person, to enable them to understand the effects that Domestic Abuse can have on their emotional wellbeing. This enables the young person to feel better equipped to manage their emotions and has a positive effect on their relationships both within the home and at school.
The 1:1 work is then enhanced by a 6 week group programme which allows group discussion and the sharing of experiences. This then enables the young people to further develop their own knowledge and understanding of the impact the domestic abuse has had on their lives.
TeenzTalk provides group support within the school environment to young people in year groups 8 to 11. The programme is delivered by 2 facilitators trained in the Respect toolkit and provides young people with skills and attitudes needed to maintain healthy and respectful relationships in all areas of their life. The group looks at a variety of topics including anger management, sexual respect and conflict resolution.
ParentzPace This group is only available to parents whose children are receiving 1:1 support through SplitzKidz/KidzPace. is a 6 week group support programme for parents that runs alongside the runs alongside the
