Turnaround (Wiltshire)

The Turnaround Programme is a voluntary group for male perpetrators of domestic abuse who wish to change their abusive behaviour. It is delivered in Trowbridge and Amesbury in Wiltshire and funded by the Big Lottery. The programme is nationally accredited by Respect and is an intensive 25 week modular programme.

The programme comprises 5 separate modules on: physical respect; emotional respect; sexual respect; the impact of domestic abuse on children; and the re-building of trust and respect. The programme strength is in its modular nature. Each module lasts 5 weeks and is facilitated by a man and a women who model respectful behaviour towards each other. Each module is likely to have a mix of established and new attendees, working together in a group setting where men learn from and challenge each other.

Splitz Support Service is one of only 10 organisations nationally who are currently delivering an accredited DVPP (Domestic Violence Perpetrator Programme) programme. Splitz was a contributor to the Mirabal study and the European Daphne Project. Splitz assesses its programme using rigorous risk and assessment tools, developed in conjunction with the University of Bristol.

Groups are held in Trowbridge, Amesbury and Tidworth.
