Devon DDASS Combined IDVA
We are looking for a Combined IDVA for 30 hours a week based at our Exeter office and expected to cover Exeter, East and Mid Devon. You will part of an experienced team providing high quality advice, guidance and support to victims of domestic violence and/or abuse enabling them to live safely.
You will be expected to provide a timely pro-active service to male and female victims of domestic violence and abuse, who have been assessed as being at high and medium risk of domestic abuse; working within a multi-agency setting to ensure risk is reduced.
You should have proven experience and qualifications in support work with knowledge of domestic abuse issues and also have excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Independent Domestic Violence Advisor
The Phoenix Project offers integrated Domestic Abuse support across Wiltshire and Sexual Violence support across Wiltshire and Swindon.
Following the impact of the Coronavirus crisis and resulting increase in domestic abuse, we are now looking to recruit an enthusiastic and energetic Independent Domestic Violence Advisor to join our experienced and passionate team. The role will support victims/survivors of domestic abuse aged 16 plus across Wiltshire.
You will work within a multi-agency system to provide a proactive, person centred independent service for victims of domestic abuse, empowering choice through informed decision making. Key elements of the role include:
- Risk assessing and helping to keep service users safe (safety planning).
- Enabling victims to access statutory and other services.
- Providing direct support and advocacy for victim/survivors of domestic abuse, assessed as being at high risk of further violence or abuse.
Whilst an IDVA qualification is not essential for this role, you should be willing to undertake this as part of the training for the job.
You should have proven experience of working with vulnerable people, and an understanding of the variety of issues that may face victims of domestic abuse, alongside excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience and understanding of: safeguarding, advocacy and multi-agency working is an advantage.
Travel across the Wiltshire area is a requirement for this position and therefore a full clean driving licence, access to a vehicle and business insurance are requirements for the role.
