Aim

These groups are aimed at male perpetrators of domestic abuse. They are aimed at men who have committed acts of domestic abuse towards their partner and who want to change their behaviour. You do not need to have been charged or convicted to participate.

To be accepted for the group you must make a referral and attend a pre-group assessment with the group facilitator. You can only join at the beginning of a module. Acceptance into the group requires a commitment to the 30 week programme. It is essential that you want help to change your behaviour and make a difference.

Women's Support Service

As part of the programme we offer safety advice and a limited amount of support to the ex/partners of the men on the group.

Eligibility

The group is available to men, over 21yo, who wish to change their behaviour. In exceptional circumstances we will accept men between 18 and 21yo.

Referral

As a demonstration of commitment we would rather men made a direct referral for this service. Also, we would prefer a telephone enquiry, but an online referral is acceptable.

Pre-Group Assessment

Prior to acceptance onto the group men must undergo a thorough assessment.

Location

We have 2 groups: one in Salisbury and one in Trowbridge: the Salisbury group is on a Monday evening; the Trowbridge group is on a Tuesday evening. Both groups run from 6.30-8.30pm.

Modules

The group consists of 30 sessions divided into 5 modules.

• B - Sexual Respect
• C - Emotional Abuse
• D - Impact of DV on Children
• E - Rebuilding Trust and Respect Within a Relationship

Module Start Dates

Special arrangements may be made over the Christmas and other holiday periods. Your group facilitator will advise you of these.
