Local Democracy In Action
We have been discussing our plans for one to one and group support for children affected by domestic abuse with Area Boards in Corsham and Melksham. Our Young People's Service for young people in those areas has been boosted with grants of £2,500 and £4,075 respectively.
The Area Boards are a formal part of Wiltshire Council that try to find solutions for local issues. They are a new way of working to bring local decision making back into the heart of the community. It was a great experience (if slightly nerve-wracking) to present our ideas to the audience alongside other projects, answer questions and then watch the on-screen voting -a bit like the X-Factor!

Waterways in Melksham to be discussed
