A Big Thank You to Local Funders!

Print
Published on Wednesday, 22 February 2012

Two local funders have recently made generous contributions to our work: Trowbridge Town Council have given us £500 toward the Buddy Scheme so our wonderful volunteers can keep giving emotional support; the William "Doc" Couch Trust has granted £3,000 toward our workshops at Newburn House.

The Trust itself was established by Doreen Affleck, a former Head Teacher of Sutton Benger School, in memory of her father, William Couch. Mr Couch was a chemist in Chippenham for 60 years until his death in 1966. Apparently, he was a well known character in Chippenham and known locally as the ‘Doc’. Thank you "Doc", and thank you Trowbridge Town Council!
