About the Buddy Scheme The Buddy Scheme is operated by volunteers. These are usually people who have experienced difficulties such as divorce, separation, lone parenting or domestic abuse in the past and would now like to help others in a similar situation. Our volunteers are sometimes ex-service users who now wish to give something back. How Do We Operate? We provide a mentoring and befriending service that will involve regular home visits or meeting in a mutually agreed place such as a coffee shop or garden centre.Our volunteers will listen carefully to your needs and work with you to establish goals and provide encouragement in achieving them.
