Children's DV SupportAimBBC Children in Need have funded a dedicated worker whose role is to work with children who have witnessed domestic abuse. The aim is to provide one-to-one support for children and young people (5-16 years old) who have witnessed domestic violence. There will also be group work in conjunction with other agencies (eg NCH, Barnardo's, Social Services). LocationKennet and Salisbury only. Each case will be looked at and assessed individually. If a child has other issues such as ADHD, ADD, OCD, Tourettes, we will probably signpost to a more appropriate agency. Waiting ListWe operate a waiting list due to the high demand for this service. The waiting time may be 2-3 months from the date of referral. Our worker will make contact when a place becomes available. If, in the meantime, you would like support from another organisation please contact the Children's Advice Service on 01380 871200. |
