History

Since 1989 Splitz has provided support services to people who are “parenting alone” and experiencing a crisis or a difficult time. We aim to provide support through a variety of means which can be agreed between us and the client. The services we provide include; home visits, telephone support, office appointments, various groups and workshops. For confidentiality and safety reasons our services can be provided at other locations more suitable to the client.

Support is available during office hours. People can self-refer by telephoning the office, or they can ask someone to contact us on their behalf. There is no cost to the client for our services.

We are able to work towards our vision by working with individuals, communities and other agencies to:

• Help people identify, come to terms with and overcome their difficulties and challenges.
• Provide high quality support services.
• Generate solutions appropriate to the needs of our communities.

Our Core Values

Equality: Services are offered to those who meet the minimal eligibility criteria for our services. Services are delivered on a first-come first-served basis. No other criteria are used to select people for our services. We recruit against strict criteria using selection procedures that comply with the southwest Child Protection Procedures and local safeguarding procedures.

Empowerment: Our services are aimed at empowering service users; we do this by offering choice, being flexible, reliable and approachable. We empower our staff to be creative and contribute to their team and the charity as a whole.
